Thanks to the hail storm, we're having to get a new roof.
Our roofer has suggested this stuff: (link...) as a way to cut down on our energy usage. It is called Polaralum, and it replaces the roofing felt.
We're told by the roofer's own experience, in the heat of the summer this product knocks the temps inside the attic down by a good 10 degrees.
Any experience out there with this stuff?
Thanks in advance !

Saw an ad for a KVAR Energy Controller. Site is (link...) .
It looks like residential installation is $500 and they claim residential electrical savings of 6-10% .
Has anyone used one? Sounds good, but interested if any local use.
Thanks !

I read that Mr. Lambert has been talking about who he's talking with:

The News Sentinel's story follows up on a story WBIR did (couldn't find link) last night.

it is over here (link...) with Lumpy Lambert and John Schmid going toe to toe on Gene Patterson's show. It gets testy, to say the least.

Kay Watson has done some good reporting about the present situation.
Tonight's story: Angry taxpayer questions Knox County Mayor about spending (and that angry taxpayer is a CPA who's looked at records)
Second tonight's story by "Jake Jost, Investigative Producer"
Knox mayor will eliminate hospitality account ("A review by 10 News showed that account had actually dipped into the red."):
Yesterday's story: Knox mayor's administration to straighten out hospitality fund (He said he's going to clean it up.)

I was suprised to see so many folks discuss the possibility of Ragsdale resigning on the local policial shows this week.
On Inside Tennessee (don't know that there's a link to their footage, unless #9 is still illegally doing it elsewhere), John Becker, Susan Williams, Don Bosch and the guy from the paper (don't recall his name) brought up this possibility in the show's last part.
Then on Tennessee This Week, Gene Patterson, Frank Cagle and Lloyd Dougherty also discussed it alot:
(link...) then click on "Lloyd Daugherty and Frank Cagle"
Are folks to the point that they're discussing Ragsdale resigning?

The News-Sentinel now has the story on Mike Arms "accidentially" turning over the ex-sheriff's personal information. Even if you despise Hutchinson, what happened to him was pretty awful.
The Shopper's story is the first link below, the News-Sentinel's story is the second link.
What is consistent in the 2 stories are the same people are saying that the documents were sent out at Mike Arms' direction.
What's inconsistent now is that Arms is now saying he didn't do it (News-Sentinel article).
And Arms is saying that it won't happen. Again.*

Well, they're coming. The Smart cars, that is:
(link...)
The tour hits Knoxville in September (14 to 19th), and it is my understanding that they are stopping in cities where they will have dealerships.
I've seen them all over Europe for years, but how will they fare again the Suburbans and Expeditions of the US?
They start at 12K, and get 40 mpg around town, about 60 mpg on the road.

Comrades, greetings!
Under the 'can't bear to lose his identity' column, there's (link...) . At the top of the page, he still claims to be Knox County GOP chairman.
His most glorious reign (hey! no snorting your drinks up your noses or spittakes out there, Comrades!) ended March 10, some 2 months ago.
Why can't he update his own site? Maybe we need Tyler and Adam to swoop in and monkey with the site.

It was great. Really concerned before the game, but I don't think they ever trailed.
