As best I understand this

As best I understand this story, I've got no problem with county officials participating in the tournament. Accepting the $500 gift certificate is another matter entirely. Glad to see Ragsdale & Owings donated theirs to charity.

You'll note some Commissioners didn't let that hot little gift burn a hole in their pocket. Those new 460cc adjustable drivers are very expensive ($400 or so). It was a TaylorMade, I think. They may have even had a factory rep there to make it fit just a little better. Man, ain't public service grand?

TaylorMade used to call their drivers Burners. Surely there's a joke in there somewhere.

I wonder if the acceptance of the freebie indicates one's intention to seek election to the same or other office? We know Owings is running. Ragsdale is non-commital, but there rumours, domain names reserved, etc. So, what of all the other elected officials who got the $500 gift? Disclosure please.
