Baggage

I was griping the other day about how much stuff we have to haul in and out of our motel room every day. Here's what I'm talking about:



But when I think of the explorers and settlers who came across on horseback or mules or covered wagons or paddling boats up the Missouri River, I'm reminded just how spoiled we are. The human species has accumulated too much unsustainable baggage, and it's making us weak.

Now, where's that damn room service menu?
