That story is just too sad.
That story is just too sad. I can't imagine being the police officer that was dispatched to evict a 90 year old woman.
The city of Akron has a population of over 207, 000 and the metro area has nearly 700,000.
Wonder what they were going to do with her. Leave her on the street? Take her to a shelter?
I hope the police, business, and communities can work together to prevent this from happening in the future. Maybe they need to dispatch Social Workers first.

Here's a hero in the middle of the mortgage mess
This man deserves a lot of credit for standing up for the victims of this mortgage meltdown. There are times when "following orders" feels immoral and that's when honest men stand tall and just say--no.

Foreclosure on 83-year-old woman...
This ticks me off. It's going to take the industry a long time to live down what a lot of them have done to people. A new defensive mentality I assume has evolved when dealing with developer/real estate/mortgage folks. I realize there are some good folks in that business. But they are going to have to prove it.
