"insurance companies calculate that to make a treatment worth its cost, it must guarantee one year of "quality life" for $50,000 or less. "
Looks like they may have been undervaluing a bit.

This is a fairly generous
This is a fairly generous amount. Here in texas you can buy a human baby for around $5000. Check it out at American classifieds.com where too many adoption agencies are competing to give you the best deal. If you don't know who your parents are, then they where probably some texan or southerner or to put it more plainly, a dead beat and a whore on a night out at a bar. Its big business, these people didn't have an accident they make a living at it. Not because of a lack of work, but for a desire to get some, then sit around and practice witchcraft, or to put it even more plainly to find a way to get a buck Without working. Never mind the huge amount of work that they've done to whore around and rip people off. What are the statistics to prove me wrong? Drive around texas and if you don't run into a huge penitentiary, then I'll show you why we don't have a problem Just way too many extremely sick people. Don't be alarmed, this has been going on for eons here, and the human suffering? All I can suggest is don't do it, the innocent babies only grow up to be sick people, don't create human misery
willing buyer
It sounds like kidney dialysis costs way more than it is worth. Obviously there is not enough competition in the dialysis market. Maybe Walmart should develop dialysis scooters that filter your blood while you roll around shopping, then charge sick people just $87,378.77 for a year's worth of shopping/treatment.
People could spend the savings right there in the store. If you had failing kidneys and shopped at Walmart, you would never run out of toilet paper!
