The University of Houston will waive tuition for students with family incomes at or below $65,000, in an effort to keep college accessible.

The announcement comes weeks after the University of Southern California made a similar move.

The University of California at Santa Cruz just feed more than 50 graduate students--the ones who teach the undergrad courses. They were protesting that rent in that expensive town cost more than half their pay and were asking for a cost of living increase.
