A Republican congresswoman from Washington state is corroborating a CNN report that former President Donald Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy were involved in a heated phone call during the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot in which Trump allegedly said the rioters "are more upset about the election" than McCarthy. Her revelation prompted the Senate Saturday to do what was previously unexpected and subpoena witnesses in Trump's impeachment trial.

Clinton lied about a BJ and
Clinton lied about a BJ and Republicans impeached him.
Trump purposely tried to overthrow our democracy and the Republicans felt it would send the wrong message to impeach him and he was aquitted. It's clear where their allegiance is, it's with Trump and not our country. Yesterday was a very sad day for democracy. I'm having a very tough time getting over it. I don't know if I ever will. But what hurts me most, I have many family members who have been very obnoxiously vocal on social media of their support of Trump. They have done so throughout his presidency and this fiasco of acquittal and it's rattled me to my very core. I don't think I'll ever be able to speak to them again. Maybe for the rest of my life, and it really saddens me because before Trump, they seemed, and were, the nicest people you could imaginebut I guess that's all it was, just an image. It's not my very elderly aunt's and uncles who I know mostly voted for Trump. I'm not upset with them, they've always voted republican, but it's half of my siblings and basically all my cousins and half of my nephews and nieces. And what makes this worse is I have a very diverse ethnic family. It is these family members I feel closest too. They are the only ones who are thinking with a clear mind. I know they see what's going on within our family and although most of them aren't outspoken about it, I know this hurts them deeply. Trump has caused a divide in this country that I don't think has been this deep since the civil war days. And as I said earlier, this really saddens me.
I apologize for this rant. I'm sure you probably think I've gotten into heated discussions with my family members over Trump, but I haven't. Although I did twice with one sibling over a year ago. I was tired of that person sharing falsehoods that were known lies that if they'd done even a little research they would've known. I was told about it by other individuals. I'm not on any social media platform, other than here being the exception.
The reason for this rant is I've heard it sometimes makes one feel better to get it out. Now that I have, no I don't feel any better. This goes way beyond my feelings.
