Protect the children.
(in reply to jbr)
Protect the children.
Knox County mayor Glenn
Knox County mayor Glenn Jacobs and the majority of Knox County School Board are an embarrassment to Knox County residents. They have not provided the leadership and response necessary to the well thought out and science based pleas to mask our children and protect lives. They are mindless in risking the lives of our children because of some misguided idea of freedom of choice. If we can save the life of one child or one teacher or one school employee then the inconvenience of wearing a mask is worth it. We have a bunch of selfish unpatriotic losers in Knox County government. Thanks to those thoughtful School Board members that supported a mask mandate.

16-year-old South Carolina student dies from Covid-19 complications as school district struggles with infections
The governor of South
The governor of South Carolina can be blamed for his part in that tragic death of a 16 student. Hopefully Knox County will change its policy before the same tragedy happens here. Governor Lee, Mayor Jacobs, and all the leaders in our state that are increasing the risks for our children should be held accountable.

Governor Lee is eat up with
Governor Lee is eat up with the dumbass! I knew he would be bad but thought maybe since he did not praise Trump the way Black and Boyd did during the campaign for governor that he would not be as Trumpish and incompetent. I was definately wrong. Boyd would have been an improvement over Lee. Sad to think Lee will win another term. He is a moron.
Don't say that
(in reply to Mike Daugherty)
Words have power. Do not give in to the negative and powerlessness of believing that this horrible governor will get another term of office. He doesn't deserve it and I believe the majority of us know that. Now if we will just get moving and take back our power, we could overcome the stupidity of the few in this state.
I sure hope your right and I
(in reply to Treehouse)
I sure hope your right and I suppose it is good to stay positive. I do believe in miracles, but if the election of Lee, Blackburn, Hagerty, and the huge support of Trump are any indication, Tennessee will be right there with Alabama and Arkansas for the next generation or two. We need to pray that all those misguided folks that have been voting Republican in our state will see the light and vote for their own interests and vote for Democrats in the future.

A local TV station is reporting a Covid pod breakout a Farragut Intermediate. Every day the schools stay open from here through this surge ending will be a major spreader event. With the exception of twice weekly updates from the Health Department, Knox County government agencies are not releasing Covid related information.
These selfish policy makers
These selfish policy makers and the anti Vax and anti mask crowd need to take a few notes from The Greatest Generation. Apparently they are not much at personal sacrifice or caring about others like my parents generation. It is all about them. Wearing a mask or getting a vaccine and saving lives is just too much of a burden for these losers! What would have happened if the public would have responded that way way toward the polio vaccine or other life saving vaccines? The lack of patriotism and the selfish attitude of a minority is killing children and adults.

Knox County Schools covid
Knox County Schools covid case count increased from 276 to 601 in one day. Superintendent Bob Thomas sent out message Wednesday night to parents giving the bad news. How much suffering and dying will it take for governor Lee and our leaders to mandate masks and vaccinations of teachers and eligible students. These people are mindless and we are paying for their stupidity. I talked to a teacher yesterday afternoon. He said in most classes there were no masks being worn by students and very few teachers masked. If teachers do not set an example, very few students will do what is needed to protect their health and the health of others.
All of the anti-vax and anti-mask crowd needs a serious mental evaluation. Governors are sending in the National guard to help hospitals. Many hospitals are running out of beds. People with life threatening illnesses are not being treated because unvaccinated covid patients are filling up the beds. Doctors and nurses are at the breaking point and governors, including dumbass Lee are not taking the actions needed to protect our citizens. By doing something as harmless as mandating masks, the governors could save many lives.

How much suffering and dying will it take for the county mayor and the county schools administrators to mandate masks and vaccinations of teachers and eligible students?
We need to thank the four
We need to thank the four Knox County School Board members that stood up for children's health and well being. Knoxville Mayor Indya Kincannon also deserves praise. Mayor Jacobs and the other 5 School Board members are an embarrassment and have let lots of children and adults down. They should be voted out of office.

The handling of covid
Quite clearly the Knox County governments handling of the covid crisis has crossed a line into criminal behavior, some time ago. Now the effects keep staring us in the face as we hope to make our way out of Delta into Lambda and Mu. We have so many ignorant
We have so many ignorant elected officials in Tennessee it's hard to determine the worst elected leader. Marsha Blackburn is obviously one of the worst but it appears she has lots of competition from Bill Lee and Glenn Jacobs. Both of these morons are completely eat up with the dumbass! Lee and Jacobs have caused a great deal of deaths and suffering by their actions dealing with covid. It is obvious they do not care about the health and safety of kids or the
school staffs. There is no excuse for being against a mask mandate in schools. Many of the anti maskers claim to be Christians. The selfish anti maskers increase the chances that children and adults could suffer or die from covid. It is not something Jesus would teach or do.
