The Median gross rent as a percentage of household income: 27.8% doesn't seem that bad. However, I didn't think a person could find many options in the Knoxville area for rentals at $920/month. I've seen where the median rent in this area is $1,250 to $1,850.

From what I have seen it is higher. I wonder if that gets increased by the local managing entities in order to sell the complexes to out of town entities. Making them a more enticing buy.

Those buyers not knowing area salaries dont support that kind of rent level.

But the sell has been made and the former owner has their cash.
