Journalists and the public are invited to our annual informal preview of the 106th General Assembly, which has just geared up for the 2009 session. The power structure has changed, the election of House Speaker has caused a tsunami, so what other surprises are in store? What measures will come up, what are the chances for passage or defeat? How might Tennessee’s lawmakers be affected by the election of a Democratic president?

Meet your State Representatives and Senators and find out what the hot issues will be this session and what their positions are — over a delicious Calhoun’s supper. We’ll have time for Q and A.

Choose your dinner from a selection that will fit all budgets and tastes, from salads and burgers to pulled pork and chicken tenders.

RSVP by noon Wednesday, 1/28/09 to michael.grider@wvlt-tv.com
