Tennessee cattlemen are not happy.

The Tennessee Cattleman’s Association is challenging a proposal made by President Donald Trump on purchasing Argentine beef to bring down consumer prices in the U.S.

Tennessee’s beef cattle industry is the ninth biggest in the U.S. — generating more than $5 billion annually. It’s also the state’s second-highest-grossing farm commodity.

U.S. cattle producers are proud to provide the safest, highest-quality beef on earth. We simply ask that the government not undercut them by importing more Argentinian beef in order to manipulate prices.

Thanks again Burchett, Blackburn, Hagerty, etc. for "flailing and failing".

Screw worms

Here's an overview of the parasitic fly that Trump is introducing to the US in infected Argentina cattle. There is no corresponding CDC policy to address this bio-attack.

Of course, most of Trump's focus seems to be on wagging the dog and convincing Americans that concentration camps and targeted kidnapping against random people of color aren't traits of Nazis.

Yikes! Flailing and failing.

The punch line.

We spent several millions (?), billions (?) last year trying to pprotect the American cattle from an invasion of screw worms.

Of course, despite the fact that we're not testing these cattle, well, I can't figure out why a sane person would consider buying from a herd infected with screw worms.

Final note.

Looking at policy issue by issue paints an even more disturbing look at this present state of government. By all visable accounts, we are a nation being overthrown by fascists in a soft coup. The wealthy are using their wealth to attrack fellow citizens in a dictatorship built on hate and fear. We're running initial premium numbers through our family budget. I have no idea how we're going to pay for this. We need an improved Medicare for all that is run by Doctors.
