I particularly liked his standing up to roadbuilders and their lobby and taking $44 million
from TDOT’s budget to pay for pre-K and health care programs. This won huge points with me and most everyone I know.

He grew up in rural New York state, as it happens, but managed to win re-election in the Volunteer State last year with nearly 70 percent of the vote.

Yeah, against sacrificial lamb JIM Bryson.

Plus, he did away with TennCare

And let's not forget, Bredesen did away with TennCare, an act so awful that even a Republican governor couldn't do it! He'll be useful in helping to justify Hillary's eventual betrayal on healthcare.
