CNN now reporting that
CNN now reporting that Senator Biden is selected. Did the text messages go out? If not, and if it is Biden, I was correct in voting "no."

I'd rather be cycling.
The veep candidate will be
Indiana? You're kidding, right? Virginia? Pass the pipe.
Neither state has gone for a Democrat since 1964. Solid red for the last 10 cycles.

I think he's right, which is
I think he's right, which is why I didn't think Biden made any sense. His own words could be used to attack Obama, and he doesn't come from a state or region that Obama needs any help winning. Biden for Sec.State maybe, but not veep.
I think Virginia is in play
I think Virginia is in play this year. Indiana is another story.
the veep candidate will be
I don't agree, Ax. The veep candidate will be chosen specifically to win a state (Virginia or Indiana). Anybody Obama picks will shore up the ticket's conservative bonafides. He certainly can't go any further left.......
I think Biden is a false
I think Biden is a false flag op.
until progressives howled I
until progressives howled
I sense that progressives will be invited to scream into their pillows once the choice is announced - the veep candidate will be chosen specifically to shore up the ticket's conservative bonafides.

On this morning's NPR
On this morning's NPR Morning Edition one of their correspondents (I don't remember which as I doze a lot at that hour) said that she waited with baited breath for her text message.
I thought, "Harrumph, either she is rooting for our man or she's a mole."
I declined the invitation to sign up as well for the same reason. I made a couple of donations but I can't afford another one every time I open my email client.

Another question: how many readers here have subscribed to get the news alert?
I haven't, because of the danger it may lead to more fund raising solicitations. Am I overly paranoid?

Can it keep the secret?
I wondering if any of the news networks are going to get a real leak (as opposed to speculation). Which one will be the first to report? Will they all be madly rushing to report it at once?
An interesting sidebar to the story.
