Knoxville Mayor and Tennessee Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Haslam dodged the question about opting out of guns in parks and said it was up to City Council.

What will City Council do? What will County Commission do? The new law takes effect Sept. 1st.

Assuming that HCP holders are registered and vote (and I'm guessing about 90% of them are and do), they only represent about 11% of the statewide vote in the last gubernatorial election. I guess that would be enough to swing a close election, but does anyone really think it's going to be that close? I guess it's possible.

I'd also guess that the GLBT population is at least that many or more. Who is pandering for their votes?
