There seems to be a concerted effort to NOT cover Mary Headrick's Congressional campaign against Chuck Fleishmann. Since Chuck has so much outside money to spend, it seems stupid not to t least give some attention to Headrick in the hopes of getting Chuck to buy ads. Mary Headrick is being well received in other media outlets and it is surprising that the KNS would ignore an entire political party in the Congressional election.

Dr. Headrick's "In the News"

Dr. Headrick's "In the News" section of her website shows a lot of coverage in Chattanooga. The third congressional district also covers Anderson, Campbell, Morgan, Roane, Scott, and Union counties. Seems that these areas would have KNS readership.

Even though the KNS endorsed Wamp, would they rather have
Fleishmann over Headrick?

Judge Pridemore was elected

Judge Pridemore was elected by the failure of the media to cover his experience. The media picks the top runners and assumes voters will follow like sheep .

Judge Pridemore was elected

Judge Pridemore was elected because he had an R behind his name. The South's Yellowdog Democrats are now Yellowdog Republicans, and it's going to take a generation (at least) to send the pendulum back in the other direction.
A more vigilant media could help that process.

KINS "Coverage Approval Denied" by Haslams

If KNS is not covering it is because they have not received the go-ahead from the Haslam Dynasty yet.

Or, perhaps, KNS received the "Kill" order for the coverage they planned.

The more stories on this topic attributed to "staff reports" rather than actual reporters indicates higher levels of interference.

That is how it worked with the Pilot Swindles stories.
