Just when I thought this (in my hometown, no less) was the most disturbing thing that had happened all week, the story above is equally disturbing. God help the victims of these unspeakable crimes, and their families.

It's not only us either. This kind of shit gives the anti immigration people one hell of an argument when it comes to third world people entering this country.

that Randy posted this...Not taking a shot at him but he doesn't seem to be oh...a die hard crime observer..if I can use that analogy. Certainly he didn't seem that way when I posted about the Johnia Berry case.

I'm a liberal and I use to be against the death penalty, mostly because it has been used in southern states in an unfair racially discriminatory fashion...But since I have read a lot about serial killers and people who killed children my views have changed and I now support it.I do wish murder was a federal crime as I don't believe states can be trusted to enforce it properly...rich and wealthy whites get manslaughter or less while poor minorities get the death penalty even if they weren't active participants..were just present when the murder occured...that still happens much too often for me to feel comfortable with the implimentation.Still there must be justice for the victims hence I support it with reservations.

So, if I have this right, yall are saying that gently easing one man out of this world by having him go to sleep and not wake up, is adequate recompense for the senseless slaughter of 4 innocent children, aged 3 months to 3 years. That is what you are saying, right?

Well, yall are likely angry and disgusted so, I will not comment on the idiocy inherent in such a statement or implication. Yes, administering the 3 drug cocktail will most likely ensure that the gentleman never again commits that crime. It will insure that other mother's minor children are safe from him. But that is all it does. If you people would just use words like they actually have meaning, you would never refer to it as anything other than "insurance of no future crimes". It cannot possibly adequately penalize the individual for the pain and suffering caused among the direct and indirect victims.

I suggest that you calm down, take a deep breath or ten before you post on such an infuriating subject.

If you must support the "death penalty", perhaps you would consider inflicting it on those who would deprive the poor and indigent of the mental health care that they need in the name of lower taxes and/or higher profits.
