Effective January 1, 2023, Medicare will be cutting payments to providers by 4.5%.

"in the House, H.R. 8800, introduced by Reps. Ami Bera (D-Calif.) and Larry Bucshon (R-Ind.), would stop the cuts from taking effect on Jan. 1, 2023."

Could the cuts lead to doctors accepting fewer Medicare patients? Will the cuts hurt hospitals already hurting because of the pandemic?
