The question of how to determine the costs of providing and maintaining infrastructure and services to developments in the county’s rural areas will be addressed Tuesday, June 25th at 5:00 p.m at a meeting of the Growth Policy Coordinating Committee in the Small Assembly Room in the City County Building, 400 Main Street.

The Knox County Planning Alliance (KCPA), a recently formed alliance of community groups throughout the area, will present recommendations to Mayor Jacobs and members of the committee on how to evaluate the impacts of growth in the county and ways of managing it. “Land use decisions drive development patterns and impact government revenues, service costs, transportation and the environment. These decisions will impact our community for years to come,” said Kim Frazier, KCPA board member and spokesperson. She urged all concerned citizens to attend the meeting.
