According to AAA gas prices in Tennessee range from $3.993 to $4.531. Wonder why that is?

In Blount, Knox, Sevier, and others gas prices are at the top of the range. In Polk, Bradley, and others gas prices are at the bottom of the range. Eighteen Tennessee counties are at the bottom of the range. Twenty counties are at the top of the range.

Loudon County has mid-range gas prices. But, Gasbuddy indicates gas can be found in Loudon County for $4.07/gal. Of course, how much gas do I waste going to Loudon County to fill up?

According to AAA, "the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by 11 cents to $4.97."
