Threads is the Meta/Facebook alternative to Twitter. Basically, it takes the comments portion of Instagram and makes a new app. Threads is an Instagram app.

In everyone's desperation to get away from Twitter, people should practice caution during FoMO (fear of missing out).

Currently, to my knowledge, Threads is only available through an app and at this time cannot not be viewed from a browser, thus leaving all security/safety measures up to Meta/Facebook/Instagram.

Be careful out there.

Not yet

This isn't ready for prime time yet. I'll hold out on twitter (@time_loves) until it gets much worse or until a better option appears. Not impressed with Bluesky, Mastodon, etc.

From the Washington Post,

From the Washington Post,

..."there’s no way to make Threads show you only the posts from accounts you’ve chosen to follow..."
...
"There’s also no way to make your feed ordered chronologically..."
