$200K so far

I have heard $200K spent so far, and we have not begun stabilization, secondary water tests, or permanent capping of the site (or materials removal). I would not be surprised if there is a secondary request to County Commission. In Bruce's defense, it was deemed at the time less than likely it would drag on this long, and anyone in his position would not have wanted to ask for more than necessary and have a huge amount of extra money at the end.

Nevertheless, I'm sure there are those on commission that will give him a hard time come the second request. I should hope not, I hope they direct any strong reaction towards the question of how to prevent similar events in the future (a stance Bruce committed to long ago).
