You think it's hot in East Tennessee? Check out how our friends on the other side of the state are doing. Pay special attention to the "low" numbers at night...

That's it exactly

it's not the Highs, it's the LOWS. i don't care if it hits 100 if it will get below 70 at night. We can't get ANY cooling here, and it's been horrible since the first of the month...

Heatwave blues

You have my sympathy LeftWingCracker.

It's bad here in Nashville too. Yesterday was the 13th day this month with triple digit temperatures; today is forecast to be day 14. Right now it's 88 degrees and it's midnight!

I dream about icebergs.

I need rain...

Even in those states where it is always hot and sultry at night, places like LA or Fla. You at least get those great afternoon thundershowers every day. I can't take much more of this drought. The worst thing is when you see a nice big thudnerhead and a mist of rain falling a few miles away. Torture, absolute totrure.

It is too the heat

In the state of La. when I left the house at 5:40 this morning it was 82 with 73% humidity. Pretty normal.

hot, dry

so much so that the other day, I saw a little family of raccoons out in broad daylight foraging. That's too dry, hot.

Early in the evening, I'll throw out some bread or apples in my back yard. I've also got some of those plastic flower pot saucers scattered around my back yard to hold water. And to think it all started with 1 bird feeder.
