Dear Tennessee Democrats,

As a life-long Democrat and a newly elected officer of the Tennessee Democratic Party’s Executive Committee, I have a passion and commitment to the people of Tennessee. Whether we realize it or not, we have been and are the working hands and feet of Tennesseans and their future. Throughout the history of our Party, we have held a great responsibility: to ensure that our government serves the role of providing for the common good and shared resources vital to the hardworking people of Tennessee, efficiently and responsively.

Our responsibility requires us to work in conjunction with businesses, industries, nonprofits and our neighbors to foster innovation and cooperation for a strong, united community – both now and for the future. Our responsibility requires us to defend our freedoms from internal and external oppression – both now and for the future. Our responsibilities culminate in our duty to defend hard work and ensure that it is rewarded – both now and in the future. Through our down-home Tennessee upbringing we’ve walked a mile in many a shoes across our hills, valleys, fields and streams. It’s time to take that extra mile for the working families of Tennessee.

I ask you to read the attached pdf document to learn more about the formation of Tennessee's Future Caucus as individual members of the Tennessee Democratic Party. I hope that you will join me and others as we strive to promote leadership, responsibility and accountability within the Party as a engaged and collective group (i.e. Caucus).
