We visited the newly opened Covenant Health Ballpark built by entrepreneur, politician, and university president Randy Boyd. They did an excellent job, as best we could tell since we don't know that much about ball parks. It does seem a little small, but that is probably the norm for AA baseball teams.

Apartment's (condos?) are part of the ballpark building, including a swimming pool.

Parking seems limited, but it is said there ae shuttles from some of the downtown parking garages. It also seems there is still a lot of work going on in and around the ballpark. The road access is limited by all the construction vehicles. I suppose there are no construction vehicles around on game days.

I've always said Knoxville needs a benefactor like Chattanooga has. Randy Boyd and Bill Haslam and Jim Clayton have all stepped up to the plate. Many thanks to them and the many others who contribute to making Knoxville a better place to be and live.
