This is important!

because if Ms. Shore had lost, no local government could have used its zoning regulations to restrict ANY kind of activity on anything claimed to be a "farm." Rock and Roll festival, Ferris Wheel, RV Park, use your imagination.

The agribusiness crowd, led by the Farm Bureau, filed briefs supporting the defendant and offered lawyer help. Some Blount County residents raised some money to help pay Mike Meares, Ms. Shore's lawyer.

Chances are good that the losers at the Supreme Court, or at least the FB et al, will now try to change the law to prohibit any restrictions on "farms."

I hope local governments and anyone else who believes in zoning will not sleep through this next time it comes up like they did this time.

Right decision! I don't

Right decision! I don't believe the TCA mentions agritourism in the code.
