Information, Please!

Barbara Seaman, at hearings before the Select Committee on Population (March 7-9, 1978):

"We also think--and I'm sorry, gentlemen, if this disturbs any of your egos--that condoms should be marketed in three sizes, because the failures occur at the extreme ends of the scale. In men who are petite, they fall off, and in men who are extremely well-endowed, they burst. Women buy brassieres in A, B and C cups and pantyhose in different sizes, and I think if it would help condom efficacy, we should package them in different sizes and maybe label them like olives: jumbo, colossal, and super-colossal, so that men don't have to go in and ask for the small."

Obviously

The Republicans want to shrink the Government down to a size that will fit in your bedroom.

If this travesty should come

If this travesty should come about, then every woman forced to provide information for such a certificate should list Stacy X as the father. Let the DNA sort it out.

While I am against abortions....

I don't think a bill like this one accomplishes anything. It simply makes Campfield look more ridiculous.

miscarriages, too?

what about miscarriages and stillbirths? Does that get you a scarlet letter death certificate, too?

What a great idea...every person getting an abortion in TN from here on should list Campfield as the father.

via babycenter.com: "As many as 30 percent of all pregnancies end in miscarriage, half of them before the woman even realizes she is pregnant. About 15 to 20 percent of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, and more than 80 percent of these losses happen before 12 weeks. This doesn't include situations in which you lose a fertilized egg before you get a positive pregnancy test. Studies have found that 30 to 50 percent of fertilized eggs are lost before a woman finds out she's pregnant, because they happen so early that she goes on to get her period about on time. If you lose a baby after 20 weeks of pregnancy, it's called a stillbirth."

Man, that's a lot of death certificates.

Actually.....it builds his name recognition. Campy4u isn't and idiot (thought, I cant say that for the people who voted for him ahem: Glen Reynolds and Wife Helen); this is how he wins --people remember his name being in the media something and vote for him cause they think he is 'a sweet boy'.

This is silly

This is coming from "the enemy" here - a conservative. But I agree that this is silly and will never pass. Not to argue this point, but to state my position, I am against abortion. However, this death certificate is silly and was brought forth, in my opinion, with no intent on passing. It is simply making a statement, much like the non-binding resolution for the war. That is my thoughts on this. It clearly points out his stance on abortion, but it is a waste of time to put up bills like this.
