According to a close friend, the Forks of the River Wildlife Management Area is beautiful and full of sunflowers.

The area is off of Island Home Pike, past Ijams Nature Center. You can turn (left coming from Knoxville) onto Johnson lane or Mikels Lane to find parking and paths through the area.

While walking the trails at

While walking the trails at ijams last year a couple of hikers was telling me about all the sunflowers. They were pretty excited about seeing it. I also saw on the local PBS channel, a short video of a musician playing, I believe was a sax in the field. A little odd to me but to each their own. I've been meaning to go to see it someday.

A while back we were driving through a forest from Tahoe to Reno and saw a trumpet player in the woods. Way cool.

of Jason Thompson playing, quite lovely actually. There were 10 songs recorded altogether by various Knoxville area artists.
