Who'd a thunk? Hockey is very, very popular in Nashville. Even better, the Predators are in the Stanley Cup finals. Nashville is crazy.

For game 3, on Saturday, "Metro Nashville Police estimated over 50,000 people came downtown to watch the game, crowding streets, bars and sidewalks. As of 11 p.m. on Saturday, metro reported 11 arrests: seven for public intoxication, three for counterfeit tickets and one for flying a drone over the large crowd."

Game 5 will be played Thursday in Pittsburgh and the Cup will be on the line in Game 6 on Sunday in catfish-tossing, hockey-mad Nashville.

Oh,yeah. They are playing the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I was at Carolina Ale last

I was at Carolina Ale last night watching the game and when the Preds scored the whole place cheered. Then at end of game the most of the folks were chanting "Go Preds"

I was there

It was gridlock like SNOT used to be on Gay Street. They put a stage in the middle of Broadway which didn't help. But the crowd was great. I was nervous about large crowds and drinking but I gotta give it to Nashville folks. They know how to have fun and enjoy instead of destroy. Go Preds!

NBC says Knoxville area TV ratings for the SCF

are like 4th highest in the country.

Smashville thanks you.

And I've been hanging out in Section 103 for this whole thing, and as a long time season ticket holder, I have to say that it's surreal -- to have seen, in person, 3 rounds end in handshakes in Bridgestone Arena, and the Predators still playing hockey into June.

Gotta feel good going into Thursday's tilt. Gonna feel great if they come back with the W. Still going to scream my fool head off on Sunday if they don't.
