U.S. Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s Senate floor speech on Tuesday, which included a reference to furries and airline pilots

“What’s more concerning is that this ... furry community touts the fact that many — listen to this — that many airline pilots, flight attendants, and air traffic controllers are part of the furry community,” Tuberville said.

“Lord help us. It’s terrifying when you think about this. When you walk on to a commercial flight, it’s possible that the pilot flying your plane could have a deranged fetish of dressing up like an animal. You can’t make this up.”

Tuberville’s approximately 20-minute floor speech occurred while he stood next a sign that said “Transgenderism is a Mental Illness.”

Tuberville is running for Governor of Alabama. I thought we had it bad. It's a toss up.
