Hmm. I wonder how reliable the sources for this report are?
"Rove Informs White House He Will Be Indicted"
If true, prepare for pre-Fourth of July Washington fireworks show.
UPDATE: Thus far, I've found no "mainstream" confirmation of this story. Given all the cries of "wolf" regarding this matter the past few months, a healthy dose of skepticism is warranted.

just because
Just because he is indicted (if he is) doesn't make him guilty. Ask O.J. Simpson.
You can live a better life or a bitter life.....it's your choice
Just Remember: 22 Counts, All Guilty
Yeah, well, (a) he'll supposedly resign. I can deal with him being separated from his WH gig.
And (b) I'll bet that's what Gov. George Ryan thought too, long before he was convicted on 22 counts of criminal conduct by the US Attorney prosecuting the case.

what about
the preferential treatment that the lawbreakers known as teddy and patrick kennedy have received?

That's all you got? Chappaquiddick?
Talk about going to the well.

patrick
was last week, driving on sidewalks and hitting concrete walls and the capitol police driving him home and tucking him in bed. If it were you or me, we would be under the jail.
As for teddy and the bridge, remember, a woman died.

Strawman Alert
It'd be an interesting argument if it actually had ANYTHING AT ALL to do with Rove's pending indictment.
You can send him a card or something, can't you? Does Hallmark have something for the occasion? Something in the sympathy section, starting, "So, you got caught lying to a Federal Grand Jury...?"

My point is,
if it is true, he isn't guilty. Just because the liberal deaniacs want Delay, Libby and Rove, doesn't mean they are guilty and doesn't mean they will be found guilty.
When you are in the public eye, people will tell lies, damn lies about you and those around you.
You can live a better life or a bitter life.....it's your choice
Yeah, those damn lies
How do you *know* he's not guilty?
Were you there?
And I notice you omit David Safavian, Bob Ney, Ernie Fletcher, Duke Cunningham, Thomas Noe, James Tobin, Brent Wilkes, Robert Kjellander, Adam Kidan, Bill Frist, John Colyandro, James Giffen, David Satterfield, Richard Pombo, Rob Simmons, Porter Goss, Charles Taylor, Kyle Foggo, or the godfather himself, Jack Abramoff from your list.
Are they all innocent too?
(Hint: Cunningham, Kidan, and Abramoff have all copped plea bargains.)

How do you know
that they *are* guilty? Do you not believe in the principles of this country and of our legal system, Innocent until proven guilty.
Or, is it your position only Republicans are guilty until proven innocent.
You can live a better life or a bitter life.....it's your choice
You Have It Backwards
I never said that they were guilty.
You were the one making affirmative protestations about their innocence. So how do you know?
Notice, the ones I talked about were only those under indictment (of course, outlining those who've already copped pleas of guilty). Nowhere do I say that they are guilty, but you insisted that Rove would be exonerated. So -- do you have some special knowledge here, or are you merely assuming that I'm a "deaniac liberal" who wants every Republican convicted of any crime of which they're acccused?
Oh, and hey, while we're on that subject, why don't I point out a fat flaming double-standard on your part? What about that Chappaquiddick incident, huh? What were the findings of LEGAL FACT in that case? Could it be that -- gasp! -- there was no further prosecution because there wasn't sound evidence which might support a conviction??? Innocent until proven guilty, remember. Your own words.
I'm sure you don't know what the findings of fact were, so feel free to Google.
BTW, George Ryan? Guilty. Proven guilty. 22 counts. Fair trial and all. US Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald prosecuting. And don't think for a second that this information doesn't scare the living shit out of Rove and his attorney.
(Fitzgerald is a reg'lar boy scout, you should know. Republican appointee. Real Elliott Ness type. Law & order through and through. Your kinda guy.)

Just because he is indicted (if he is) doesn't make him guilty. Ask O.J. Simpson.
Somehow I don't think Rove would appreciate being mentioned in the same breath with O.J.
You Have It Backwards
"Just because he is indicted (if he is) doesn't make him guilty." Here are the words from my first comment not exactly what you say that I said. "You were the one making affirmative protestations about their innocence. So how do you know?"
I don't expect you to always get it right. I make a few mistakes myself.

BREAKING NEWS
Republicans raid KnoxViews searching for secret weapons that may be used in fall elections. Local GOP'er spins himself out of the washing machine trying to turn the search into part of the war on terror. "Mayor Hall" and The Rep will have the full story on tonight's Knox Politics.
Anyone else notice the full moon tonight?
Andy
I am standing by the comment that I made. "Just because he is indicted (if he is) doesn't make him guilty."
Again, you can want Delay, Libby, Rove and every other Republican indicted, convicted and executed. But, that is a third world country standard. Not our standard.
The court of law will hear whatever evidence and defense is put on. Since this is the only media report and no other reputable media have reported it. I am believing this to be a tabloid journalist piece, similar to what one local reporter might put out, a piece without checking sources.

Executed? Point to where anyone has said this on this board. I challenge you. Right now.
Show me where anyone says that any of these men deserve summary judgment and execution.
Right now. Back it up.
I am standing by the comment that I made. "Just because he is indicted (if he is) doesn't make him guilty."
So you were just full of crap after that. Good to know.

What? No comebacks?
Me, about 20 hours ago... Show me where anyone says that any of these men deserve summary judgment and execution.
Seeing as how I've alloted almost an entire day, and there's been no response, I'll just assume that you can't find any posts where people here are prejudging guilt and calling for summary execution.
I think an apology is in order.
