He certainly pulls out all the stops! Holy moly. Who knew you could do so much with a hamburger commercial? ;>)
Assuming what you see is
Assuming what you see is real, maybe there IS hope for the next generation.
Nice! But I prefer this
Nice! But I prefer this arrangement. (link...)
Yep...
The kid in the one I posted used the same arrangement by JerryC but added his own interpretations, but all of these videos give me hope that kids that are up and coming musicians still care about being technically proficient and don't just want to sample bits and pieces of others works and call it a song. Learning to play music by doing these types of exercises eventually brings you to the place where you WANT to make your own statement...that's when we get a new John Lennon or Eddie Van Halen or Brian May...the list goes on. Innovation of a musical style comes from first walking in the footsteps of those who have come before, until you find the path your feet want to follow on their own.
It's one of the reasons I think that arts education is just as important as the basics of reading and mathematics and science, to leave out teaching how to be creative is to divorce ourselves from half of what makes us unique among all the species that have ever lived. Man is creative not just for survival, but because we need ways to express the beauty in our souls.

Years ago a fellow employee
Years ago a fellow employee was showing off pictures of his newborn son and bragging about his big hands, the hands of a future football star.
"Maybe the hands of an famous pianist", I ventured.
The room became silent, I had committed a grievous sin.
Ever notice how, when school systems have financial troubles, arts are the first to suffer? Friday Night Lights that cause enduring memories in the form of middle age aches and pains on rainy days are maintained at all cost.
