Ralph Nader was interviewed today on DemocracyNow! on the viability and importance of print media. He's just launched two print papers.

Which leads to asking why, when we have several viable local print papers (see photo) we no longer have an 'alternative' Metropulse, Mercury or Voice. The papers shown below, all distributed free of charge, subsist on ads, public/legal notices and classifieds.

I do miss my print

I do miss my print newspapers. They are still available. I went digital during the pandemic.

Sometimes it seems when print media goes digital they are not as good. I think it has more to do with a smaller audience. Many /some young people don't seem to be interested in real news. If it's not on social media it's not important attitude.

I'm now thankful for the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Miami Herald, and a few others. My local paper, Maryville Daily Times, provides a good service.

I do appreciate KnoxTNToday as well.

Still get Southern Living in paper.
