Rain rain go away.
Come again some other day.
I remember sitting at the window as a child singing this little ditty hoping the rain would stop. I kinda felt like this today. Such weird trivia available on the net.

I never did understand this verse but I still enjoyed the song.

I figured I'd get the blasphemer charge for one of those picks.
How dare I pick on Elvis or Eddie. The piano playing was pretty good, though...maybe if Eddie Rabbit had recorded it instead of Elvis.
I almost chose this one instead.

Ah... Tom Waits, hadn't
Ah... Tom Waits, hadn't thought about him in years. Saw him in concert at the UT Concert Hall back in the 70's. If you didn't know that he was an accomplished pianist, you would have thought they pulled a bum from off the streets and put a microphone in front of him. He might have only had one song about rain, but all of his songs were gloomy. Here is my all time favorite Tom Waits song, "Better Off Without A Wife". The intro is long, he's a story teller, during the intro you will hear him mention Chuck E. Wiese, it's the same Chuck E. Wiese that Rickie Lee Jones sings about in her song of the same name, Chuck E's in Love. She's another singer that you had to aquire a taste for, many people didn't like her, but in her younger days, she had a unique quality about her.
I'm the only (former) Deadhead here, I guess
Box of Rain - best rain song ever! Except it's really about heroin (I know that not every song about "rain" is actually code for heroin - but that one is).
