Be prepared, the news will be awash over the next two weeks with Taitz screaming about the Kenyan birth certificate she found.

A full debunking is listed here: ((link...))

High points:
- The document lists Mombasa as party of Kenya. Mombasa did not become part of Kenya until 1963. It used to be part of Zanzibar.
-Why would a predominantly Muslim nation actually say "Christian name" (as opposed to name) on the birth certificate?
- The forger incorrectly calculated Obama's fathers age.
- The hospital was in an area called the "Central Nyanza District," not Nyanza Province. The regions were changed to provinces in 1970.
-The "Registry Entry Date" is dated 9 August 1964 -- a Sunday. From what I can find, Kenyan guvmint offices close early on Friday and are closed on Saturdays. Oooops! [--Corrected--]
- This piece of paper certainly looks nice and new to be 45 years old -- unless the Kenyans were using acid-free paper back in 1964
- The hospital is called Coast Provincial General Hospital (sometimes said to be Coast Province General Hospital), not Coast General Hospital.
- Finally, Officials of Coast Province General Hospital reported: “We do not have computerized records going back to the 1960’s and can only sort through our archives by hand,” Dr. Christopher Mwanga, an administrator at the Mombasa hospital tells GLOBE. “We have searched for all the names of babies born on Aug. 4, 1961, and have not found the name of Barack Hussein Obama.

Veritas's picture

Did you even look at the 1964 form?

The dates on the form are Aug. 4, 1961, Aug. 5, 1961, and Aug. 9, 1961. So you go and look up 1964 dates? THey were Friday, Saturday and Wednesday in 1961.

See, the thing you couldn't be bothered to pay attention to is that this is a 1964 document documenting things that happened in 1961. The three dates surrounding the birth are 1961 dates. This form itself is dated Feb. 17, 1964, which was a Monday.

Sheesh.

No I don't buy

I don't know if it's a fake or not. See my comments below. All I know is that these so-called debunking arguments are, every single one of them, laughably false.

It may be that solid debunking evidence will come out. It may be that the document is indeed authentic and will be proven so.

But the debunkers have to do a thousand times better than this if they wish to discredit this document.

Natural Born Citizen

Nice but no cigar. The issue is not citizenship but natural born citizenship. His mother being a citizen does not necessarily make him a natural born citizen (though it might, if she was unmarried when he was born). If he was born in Honolulu, there's no problem with NBC. But if he was born in Mombasa, then there's a problem.

And we don't know. And all he has to do is release definitive proof of his Honolulu birth. Which he steadfastly refuses to do.

But somehow, I think your mind is clamped shut like a steel trap.

The State of Hawaii has answered this question on numerous occasions. We're not the one with the closed mind.

Then by your own argument...

John McCain, who was born in Panama (a different country by the way) to American citizen parents, was not ever and is not now qualified to be President of the United States. Therefore, the Republican Party was also guilty of running an ineligible candidate.

This "birther" movement is stupid. And the people who fall for the "birther" conspiracy theory are by definition and extension...STUPID.

The stupidest part of the whole argument being made is that this was all planned out 47 years in advance on the off chance that this child who grew up to be Barack Hussein Obama would even WANT to run for President...he could have decided that he wanted to sit on a mountaintop in Tibet and give philosophical advice. The Kenyan Candidate, like The Manchurian Candidate is a complete work of fiction, whoever came up with it to start with deserves both a big fat raspberry for stupidity, and a Pulitzer Prize for fiction.

Now go home and contemplate your navel lint...it is a far more productive use of your free time.

Laughable attempt at

Laughable attempt at debunking. "Christian name" was standard use in British colonies. It means given name. British colonial administrators in areas with Muslim populations darn well sure did use "Christian name" on their forms. Mombasa was operationally and administratively part of what became Kenya and had been for decades. In name only (nominally) it was under the sovereignty of the Sultan of Zanzibar. The minor hospital name variations are normal, both over time and at any given time a hospital can have more than one official/common/abbreviated name on different forms and documents. The claim that Obama senior's age is incorrect rests on an idiot misreading the numeral on he photograph and running with it. The document is correct on that issue. THere's no possible way to judge the age of paper from an internet photograph.

If this is the best "debunking" evidence the debunkers have, they don't have any evidence whatsoever.

I have no idea whether the document is authentic. No one can know until the original paper copy is studied forensically and until the data on it are compared with the original registry or authentic back up registries, either in Kenya or in the archives of colonial records that might be located elsewhere.

But what is clear that none of the common "gotcha" debunking arguments hold water. Either a forger did his homework very well and avoided the sort of errors these foolish debunkers say he made or the document is genuine.

Elrod's picture

Birth Announcement

Since there was a birth announcement in the Honolulu newspaper in August 1961 - which must have been retroactively "planted" - I wonder where the birth announcement in the Kenyan papers are? Hey, to a paranoid conspiracy theorist, no evidence of something only proves the original theory.

Black helicopters and One World Governments were much more fun than birther nonsense.

Veritas's picture

Need not be retroactive plant

The birth announcements could result from Mrs. Dunham registering the birth in Honolulu within days of the event in Mombasa. We don't know. But such registration on the authority of the family was permitted in Hawaii at the time. We know that the birth announcements contain a false address, whether intentionally or accidentally so, we don't know.

On the other hand, it is possible the birth took place in Honolulu and the newspaper announcements were generated by hospital reporting to vital statistics offices, with the Mombasa document then being a forgery. We just don't know.

But the birth announcements in Honolulu do not by themselves, discredit the purported 1964 Kenyan certification of a 1961 Mombasa birth.

You'll have to do better. For now, you might just keep an open mind. That's what I'm doing. But I despise smarmy, self-satisfied "gotcha" debunking that shows total ignorance of history, of British colonial practices etc. Part of keeping an open mind is not falling for silly gotcha debunking.

You use the words "Currently

You use the words "Currently , Title 8..." The requirements have changed - IF he wasn't born in America (including territories, military bases, embassies, etc) he is NOT a natural born citizen..

While many patriots will argue with clear conviction “natural born” should be narrowly interpreted as to mean both parents must be citizens, giving birth to that child under the jurisdiction of the United States of America, they do accept that Jus sanguinis citizenship can be passed from one parent in accordance to the law of the land at the time of birth. So what was the law of the land at the time for giving a person Jus sanguinis citizenship?

There three ways for a person claim citizenship, what most of us think of first is called Jus soli, “the right of the soil,” which is the physical location your place of birth. The second is what is called Jus sanguinis, “the right of blood,” which you inherit from your parents. The third is a combination of Jus soli and Jus sanguinis, and it is this combination that determines if one is a natural born citizen. Since any citizenship under Jus solis is codified by the Fourteenth Amendment, we only find laws for passing citizenship via Jus sanguinis on August 4th, 1961 in the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 (McCarran-Walter Act). This act states that in order for Obama’s right of blood citizenship to be passed to him, that since he only had one parent who was a U.S. citizen at the time of your birth, that parent must have resided in the United States for at least ten years, at least five of which had to be after the age of 14. Barack Hussein Obama, II fails the test for the right to claim “natural born citizen” status.

His mother had only lived 4 years in the US after age 14 (she 18 when Obama was born)

And to top it all off- the Kenyan authorities say they have no record of this document. Oh, but the "disappearance" will further feed the psychotic conspiracy theories.

THe 9th of Aug. in 1961 was a Wednesday.

The 5th was a Saturday. It is perfectly reasonable for a Friday birth to be registered at the hospital on a Saturday but then recorded at the bureaucratic center on the next Wednesday. In much of Europe, Saturday is a half-school day; Saturday was a full or half working day for much of the developed world until not too long before 1960 and in 1961 in Kenya, it may well have been a half-day for office work. The sloppiness of this "debunking" is breathtaking.

As I understand it, the Supreme Court has never ruled on exactly what "natural born citizen" means. Most constitutional scholars take it to mean as opposed to naturalized citizens. After all, the Constitution does NOT say "born in the United States."

The Democratic Underground said they were going to flood the internet with fake fake Kenyan BCs. That's what they've done. They hacked the Taitz site and swapped out what she posted and substituted for it. From now on, every single graphic posted in regard to this has to be examined for its Photoshop evidence trail.

The Taitz Kenyan BC may also be a fake. But so far no one has given any credible evidence that it is a fake. They can't. Because authenticating it depends on comparing the paper original with Kenyan and British paper records.

Anything else done on the internet is subject to Photoshopping and other tampering.

For now, the intelligent person suspends judgment.

But that doesn't apply to you.

reform4's picture

(2) If you knew ANYTHING, you would know that a .jpg file DOESN'T HAVE LAYERS YOU NINNY! If you have a file with layers and you save it as a JPG, it "flattens" the file. So, anyone who said they extracted layers from a .JPG file is clearly lying.

That would make as much sense as any of the other crap you've been spewing.

Yes, Orly Taitz has proven this beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Oh, you never did address the issue of Mombasa being in the wrong country, either.

Veritas's picture

Mombasa

Look, pea brain, Mombasa is not in the wrong country. The coastal strip leased by the Sultan of Zanzibar to the British was administered as part of the East Africa British protectorate. It was administratively part of Kenya for decades. Only nominally was it under the sovereignty of Zanzibar. Mombasa was an integral part of colonial Kenya.

This was shown early on in the various threads on this issue.

Every single one of your stupid debunking points showed complete lack of knowledge of things on the ground in Kenya in 1961 and 1964.

You believe any crap your stupid KOS sources feed you.

I don't believe either side, yet. But i know beyond a shadow of a doubt that so far all the debunking of the Taitz document has been inconclusive. I'm waiting for credible proof that it's a fake.

IT MAY WELL BE A FAKE.

But you don't know that I and I don't know that. And you make yourself a fool by glomming on to anything that supports your side without checking it out.

reform4's picture

You still can't have it both ways, dumbass.

But Mombasa would have NEVER been part of the "Republic of Kenya." That's what the fake BC says. You keep going back to pre-Republic status to handle the inconsistencies in the fake, but the fake refers to the "Republic of Kenya," which Mombasa would not have joined until December 1963. If it was Mombasa, the form would have still referred to the BEAP.

Veritas. You can't argue with trolls...and if you shine the light on them they just turn into rocks, and arguing with stones is a waste of time.

Time for Pie.

All-American Apple Pie from VegCooking.com

For the Crust:
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
1 tsp. salt
1/4 cup cold water
3/4 cup solid vegetable shortening

For the Filling:
1 3/4 lbs. Golden Delicious apples, thinly sliced
1 3/4 lbs. Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 Tbsp. unbleached flour

3 Tbsp. Earth Balance margarine, diced
1 Tbsp. soy milk
1 Tbsp. Florida Crystals sugar
Large pinch of ground cinnamon

For the Crust:
• In a bowl, combine the flour and the salt. Mix the water with 1/3 cup of the flour mixture to make a paste. Set aside.
• With a pastry cutter or a fork, cut the vegetable shortening into the remaining flour mixture until the texture is “pebbly.” Add the paste and mix well. Shape into a ball and divide into 2 parts.
• Lightly flour a clean countertop and rolling pin. Roll 1 portion of the dough at a time. Roll from the center out, lifting the roller at the end of the dough (rather than rolling back and forth). Roll to a 1/8-inch thickness.
• Have an 8- or 9-inch pie pan ready. The rolled dough should be at least 2 inches larger than your pie pan. Loosen from the rolling surface, fold in half, and place in the center of the pie pan. Unfold and gently work into the pan, pressing lightly. Trim any excess dough with a knife.

For the Filling:
• Preheat the oven to 400°F.
• In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Let stand for approximately 15 minutes, or until juices form. Add the flour and mix.

To Assemble:
• Spoon the filling into the bottom crust and dot with margarine.
• Roll out the second ball of dough to form a 13-inch round circle. Drape over the filling.
• Seal the top and bottom crust edges together and trim any excess dough, leaving a 1/2-inch overhang. Fold under and crimp decoratively with a greased fork.
• Brush the pie with the soy milk. Combine the sugar and the cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over the pie.
• Transfer to a baking sheet and place in the oven.
• Immediately reduce the temperature to 375°F. Bake for approximately 2 hours, or until the crust is golden brown, the apples are tender, and the filling is thick and bubbling. If the edges are browning too quickly, cover with foil.
• Serve warm or at room temperature.

Makes 8 servings

The 14th amendment has NOTHING to do with Natural Born Citizenship. Also, citizenship at birth does not mean NBC status. The true meaning of NBC can be found in the Law of Nations, which was used by the framers as a source document in drafting the constitution. This is a historical fact and can be verified in the Federalist Papers, writings of Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and others. Natural Born Citizen as defined in Law of Nations clearly states both parents must be U.S. Citizens AND born on U.S. Soil. It also clearly states that the citizenship of the father is also that of the child - citizenship is INHERITED through the father. Barack Obama MAY BE a U.S. Citizen. However, regardless of where he was born, he IS NOT a NBC. It is just that simple.
