Please no! I am pretty sure US Air is still flying Piedmont prop planes around the East. US Air is barely able to float itself. Delta, please just say no! Or give me a chance to transfer my frequent flier miles to Continental or United or American or even Northwest.

If only it really was
If only it really was "Piedmont" Air...That was a great regional airline until US Air bought them. I've been burning my Delta miles as fast as I could. I recommend Costa Rica but shop the timing and you can get there for 35K.
Bad Airports
No hatred for LaGuardia?

Daytona Beach is pretty
Daytona Beach is pretty nice, too. Very similar, and lots of parking.
TYS is the nicest small
I've always liked Austin TX airport. You get off the plane and are welcomed to the sounds of Doug Sahm and Bob Wills on the overhead.
Lansing MI and Lafayette LA are even smaller, but they are not without their charms. Each has 4 gates. Occasional jet service. Gotta love it.

TYS is nicest airport paid for by a community it isn't in
The sign on the airport says Knoxville, but she's in Alcoa and fully contained within Blount County.
At some point in time, the political forces will be such that the decisions affecting the airport will be subject to the adminstrations of Alcoa and Blount County more so than the happening within the City of Knoxville administration.
Newark, bleah! Or the
Newark, bleah! Or the immediate area surrounding Newark. Never get a rental car at Newark. No matter where you are going, get a cab, car service, whatever to somewhere away from Newark then get your rental car.
I wouldn't fly into JFK or
I wouldn't fly into JFK or LaGuardia unless I was going to the City (or overseas), then I wouldn't need a car.
Metulj, Continental + Newark
Metulj, Continental + Newark = flight delay for eons, a miserable late-night ride that was supposed to leave six hours ago. At eight, they bring out the youthful clone of a Dachau prison matron to deal with questions about flight status. At nine, just when you feel like a beer would take the edge off your wait, they close the bar. You turn around and glance at Miss Dachau: she smiles at you for the first time.
