First check out ALEC and the subject of the conference they went to... (link...)

Then find your Rep and see what they spent your money on in 2010 before they even sat down in the House... (link...)

Just to let you know why I'm all up about this, check Representative Hurley's per diem to ALEC.

How in the world do you

How in the world do you charge the tax payers of TN with a per diem to attend a right wing conference on eliminating the Environmental Protection Agency when your constituents are suffering through a massive failure of EPA regulations in the form of the TVA ASH Spill Disaster which destroyed 200 homes and miles of Tennessee rivers?

It doesn't appear that either

It doesn't appear that either state rep that could have an affect on me or my local family, Swan or Nicely, went to the ALEC conference.

I don't see why we (the people who pay taxes so these people can be in Nashville to guide/run our state) allow our tax money to be spent on this type of conference. I thought we elected these people to study the issues, talk with the people and make decisions based on that information. I didn't realize they were also going to lobbyist conferences to have their opinions molded, especially on our dime.

Shouldn't the tea partiers by outraged by the waste of taxpayer money?

Rep Hurley is so disconnected

Rep Hurley is so disconnected from reality that she seems to have forgotten that her District is the site of the worst man caused environmental coal disaster in recent history. We are victims of weak enforcement from both TDEC and the EPA. So just to rub it in our faces she takes our money and junkets to an anti EPA convention. Thank You for representing the people, Ms. Hurley.
