Good!
Hopefully he takes his vast array of "5-yard pass plays for 3rd and 6 situations" with him.
News Sentinel is reporting
News Sentinel is reporting that Coach Cut is gone...

Here.
He must really want to be a head coach, because that's a bad program.
Brian A.
I'd rather be cycling.
there goes the farm
tn just lost their BEST coach. maybe we can hire sanders back. and some idiots are happy about it.
Big blow to the UT offense.
Big blow to the UT offense. Most around here hold a higher regard for Cutt than Phil. I say hire Chris Peterson from Boise State before someone else does. Perhaps as OC with a contractual agreement to eventually take over as head coach. ;)
Good luck with that Coach C.
If you like 9-3 records and
Duke would definitely love that. Probably even name a street after him.
Coach Cut is a fine man and
Coach Cut is a fine man and a very good coach. Everyone's enamored with 'the spread'. Same as 15 years ago and everyone wanted to run the West Coast or Run and Shoot offenses.
If Coach Cut wants to be a head coach, I wish him the best. I don't want to lose him, but you can't control ambitions and the attraction of a head coaching job. Head coaches also make far more money than assistant's.
Tennessee has outstanding facilities, pays assistants as much as anyone in the country, has a relatively stable program, Fulmer is extremely loyal to assistants and Knoxville is a great place to live. Attracting an outstanding coordinator is easier than a new head coach. Lots of folks would love to be at Tennessee.
