(Emphasis added.) It's funny how even W's most ardent supporters use terms like these. William Kristol was on TDS recently and every single time he referred to the "surge," he spoke of it as "taking one more shot."

As much as these guys claim how imperative victory in Iraq is (whatever victory means), it's clear they don't even believe themselves that there's really much of a chance. Yet they're eager to throw more American lives toward this weak gamble while they stay cozily at home. Why do they put such a low value on our troops?

And does anyone believe this is really their final call to follow Bush's war escalations?

I feel NO responsibility whatsoever to fix this mess...this mess was perpetrated upon the Iraqi people and the American people by the Bush administration and the complicit Republican-lead Congress. I personally think all those folks who voted in favor of giving Bush the power to use force to go into Iraq and Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell, and every other member of Bush's Administration and ALL THEIR family members should have to PERSONALLY go over and FIX their own mess.

I don't think one more member of our armed forces should have to die on foreign soil to prosecute an illegal war for a bunch of draft-dodging, rich playboys and their progeny. Let those fat, old, rich men and women take care of their own business by themselves for once instead of having the general American public pay the price in blood and money.

One thing I do think would help...raise the minimum age for joining the armed forces so all you guys who say you would go except you are too old to join up now can do just that...put your ass where your mouth is. Time for you to cash the checks your mouth has been writing (or keyboarding skills as the case may be).
