Just when I thought The Sunspheres would be my last collection, I've found a new interest: postcards showing high-speed roads cutting through downtowns. The one illustrated shows Fort Worth, Texas, in the mid-1950s. The caption reads: For many of the 100,000 people who daily pass this way, this is "Where The West Begins." Looking northward, they see the city skyline including the new $18,000,000.00 Convention Center.

That's a lot of zeroes.
