I like the line:

According to the White House, Saudia Arabia doesn't see enough demand to increase production.

Only in the world where supporting the troops means keeping them engaged forever in Bush's failed war would this problem be characterized as one of too weak demand to get prices down. As if we could fix this problem if we would all just drive more.

After listening to the rightist noise machine babble for the last seven years about America imposing its will on the world stage, it's kind of comical watching Bush begging the Saudis for more oil . . . and getting rebuffed.
