No surprise
Thanks for this post, Mr. R.
It is not unexpected. It was fairly apparent that TVA allowed a situation for a giant porta potty explosion into Swan Pond from the get go.
Holding them accountable is the problem.
Umm, how can TVA restrict
Umm, how can TVA restrict access to wells on private property? Wouldn't that be up to the property owners?
I was wondering the same
I was wondering the same thing.

"We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be." ~Kurt Vonnegut
I question whether that
I question whether that statement is true. Though I think they mean well, UMD has a propagandists relationship with facts at times, but so does TVA.
I know of several environmental groups that have asked for and been granted access, though not necessarily immediately. If you "demand" access it may not happen.
The scientists I talk with regularly think there will be no problems with well water for now. If it comes at all, it won't be until well after the rainy season on shallow wells and probably never on deep wells.
That is all well and good,
That is all well and good, but it is academic.
If it were your home, would you be a little more concerned?
