Midway Rescheduled
The Zonings portion of the County Commission meeting has been rescheduled for Friday, December 17th at 4:00 pm.
It will be hard for community folks to make it at that time since many of us work for a living.

And it's a Friday on a holiday weekend. Not the best time. But looking at the weather forecast, it's probably the most reasonable if they want to get it over and done with quickly.
Holiday weekend? Which
Holiday weekend? Which holiday is that?

Why it's Festivus of course! Friday night is the airing of the grievances!

Somebody's going to have a lot to say.

I want to see Lisa Starbuck wrestle Mike Edwards.
Heh.
I believe he's got a few pounds on me, but I'd be delighted to debate him. A verbal spar, rather than a physical one.
The weekend before Christmas.
The weekend before Christmas. A number of folks will be starting their holiday travels. A lot of people plan their vacation time to take a couple of weeks at the end of the year. The colleges are closed. The school are usually closed by Friday.
I know not every body is, but the countdown is well on by then. My brother will be driving down from Maryland on Saturday. I always spend this Friday and Saturday before Christmas putting together Holiday Food Boxes at my church. And I have my most important non-family Christmas party that night. It's a busy time even for folks not traveling.
Seriously?
You're talking a full week before Christmas. I've never heard of a "holiday weekend" that didn't have a holiday actually occurring sometime during the weekend. Perhaps nobody should schedule anything from the weekend before Thanksgiving until the week after the weekend following MLK weekend. Then maybe a few things could happen before the two week blackout around Valentine's Day.
Don't get your panties in a
Don't get your panties in a wad.
It's just an observation on my part that for many who stretch the end of the year holidays out, this is the beginning of that. And no, I would not say the same for any other holidays.
And, yes, for others this is much more important than their celebratory holiday gatherings.
Perhaps the weather is a sign
Perhaps the weather is a sign from the universe about Midway.
