Sorry we didn't make it out to the Truman Day dinner or after party. I'm sure we'll have plenty of opportunity to support East TN candidates, financially and otherwise. Hope a good time was had by all, despite all the last minute drama. (If somebody would like to post a report that would be great.)

Speaking of drama, take a look at how the Shelby County Dem's Kennedy Day dinner is shaping up.

Further Update

The Commercial Appeal reported this morning that Kuhn had asked them not to come; while Sheriff Luttrell had already said he wasn't going to show up, no word yet from AG Gibbons.

My question, of course, is why did it take the Countywide Democratic candidates holding a press conference to get him to do this?  Kuhn is up for re-election in August, and I'm betting he is not retained.

I know the whole state is saying "there goes Shelby County again", and I'm tired of it, too.  However, we have a good ole boy network that is nearly intractable.
