so, was that it???

smoke and mirrors? - especially the table that showed questions about the 3 current employees have been "CLEARED"in bold all-caps - I feel so much better now. I hope you have gone back to redact the mayor's p-card account number on page 53.

P-Card

John Troyer made note of the fact that there is only one procurement card in the Mayor's Office, for office supplies only. The card number shown in the audit response is for a card that is no longer active.

I know why the canned bird sings

The written response as well as Dwight's comments this afternoon make it clear that the former community services director has been cast into outer darkness. If so much as an attempt was made by anyone in the Mayor's office to resolve any of Ms. Finch's documentation problems there's no evidence of it.

And I must admit I was more than a little disappointed that Cynthia didn't take the opportunity to make an appearance this afternoon. Right or wrong, she still has a number of supporters who would probably have jumped at the chance to stage a demonstration on her behalf, complete with appropriate signage. A once in a lifetime chance for political theater wasted.

Durn.

A once in a lifetime chance?

Cheer up. We aren't even to intermission yet.

I don't know; I've had quite enough political theater lately. :)

The silence on KnoxViews

The silence on KnoxViews about Ragsdale is deafening. Is Ragsdale seen as a progressive? Why is there no great outcry?

Its Ragsdale Fatique

Sick of the guy. Sick of his lines about seniors and reading to the kids and stories about taking nurses who helped out with Hurricane Katrina (rich!) to lunch on his p-card. I can't stand the looks of the guy (anybody notice he looks like Frank Burns from M*A*S*H*?).

Sick. Sick. Sick. And sick of you too Van De Vate. Don't you ever get tired of making excuses for this crowd?

Like Moving Forward

We all know people who cannot tell us the time of day without using the obligatory 'like' at least five times. If Rags were somehow restrained from saying 'moving forward' he would surely explode.
