Hilarious, as always.Let's
Hilarious, as always.
This looks like a prelude to the battle of the Timmys. Should be interesting.
Good luck to Greg Mackay, BTW.
Thank you, Rachel. I
Thank you, Rachel. I appreciate the observation about the Timmys. It's interesting to get confirmation of that from 9. And great to get analysis of the situation from from Bbean. But Hutchison has not declared yet, right?
Pulled a Wilder
Burchett does it again. He pulls a Wilder.
He should run as a Democrat.
The fact that 9 and his
The fact that 9 and his yahoo buddies are overlooking is that Burchett doesn't decide this.
The election commission does.
The legislative delegation can remove/replace the commission members at the end of their terms, but the legislators do not choose the administrator. If they did, it would be Mark Brown's sister-in-law you'd be complaining about – not Mackay.
I don't know why this is so hard to grasp.
Well, yes, I do, actually. It's the same small, loud bunch calling for lockstep party unity, joined by the likes of Phyllis Severance, who supported Democrat Tommy Schumpert for years and years and was rewarded with a cushy county job.
Ray Hal Jenkins is a legal expert like I'm a wild bull rider. And what the hell does Terry Frank of Anderson County have to do with this?
This bunch interpreting the law is pitiful, and does nothing but make Burchett look better.
Add on edit:
The notion that some kind of hideous, unconstitutional, sunshine law violating fraud was committed by holding a caucus meeting in Nashville rather than here is as dumb as the rest of your arguments. Whether you like it or not, these guys have never, ever consulted the public when they choose members of the election commission. And they don't have to, except in your fevered imagination.
Burchett pulled a Wilder
The fact that 9 and his yahoo buddies are overlooking is that Burchett doesn't decide this.
Yahoo buddies? Is that like mouth breathers? Sheriff's pals? Or just plain rednecks?
If Burchett rigged a secret ballot he most certainly decided.
That is the issue.
You might want to find out the facts before you defend young Timmah. He didn't fall in the well, he dove. Not even Lassie and a crane can save him. It is a deep well. The yahoo's you dislike so much want this done in the light of day. They don't trust young Timmah.
Proof?
Got proof? Nope. Fever dreams as always.
Each of the people who voted have told how they voted. The votes didn't add up to what Burchett said they were. Some in the press have the story. It may see print. This was a big blowup in one of the GOP clubs in North Knox a week or so ago.
Ask Lumpy. He was there. Ask Burchett. He knows what really happened.
Are you a Republican now? Or is this just covering for Mackay?
Nine, You are wrong. Lumpy
Nine,
You are wrong.
Lumpy wasn't "there." He was waiting outside for Kelvin Moxley (who had a good chance of getting appointed until word got out that Lumpy had driven him to Nashville for themeeting).
Bottom line, what this whole thing was about was getting Kelvin (somebody I've known for double digit years and like just fine despite disagreeing with) appointed to the election commission because he had promised to vote for Steve Hall for administrator.
That's the backroom deal, and the people who tried to engineer it are PO'ed because it didn't work.
I'd exclude Steve Hall from the legions of the terminally pissed. I spent some time with him recently and he seems to be moving on with his life.
Wrong meeting
Lumpy was at the GOP club meeting in North Knox with the fireworks.
Lumpy the BACKDOOR MAN.
Lumpy the BACKDOOR MAN. Hope the people that voted for him have seen the light. There has been many lights to see. Lumpy is the one behind the commercial landscaping debate that is going on right now. He pushed the idea of opening the Agriculture Zone for commercial landscaping & commercial landscaping storage yards that have so many land owners upset in Knox County. He could not even stick to his own agenda when the camera was on. When he saw that every other Knox County Commissioner was voting not to allow commercial landscaping in the zone he decided to jump the fence and vote with them. Then went right back pushing it with the BZA & MPC. No way for a Commissioner to behave. Very deceptive. Very disturbing to see Lumpy leave his seat attacking people & having check to check talks with attorneys like Aurthur Seymore while the meetings are going on.
I watched the meeting on CTV
I watched the meeting on CTV and Lumpy did just what you said. He fought for a long, long time in favor of opening up the zone to commercial landscaping against public outcry. Even made a motion to try and stop the Resolution and not to allow it. That motion failed for him. He did jump the fence then. The Resolution passed 17-0. Strange behavior indeed.
IMO
I think you come across as more of the mouth breather type myself since you're soliciting analysis.
"If ignorance is bliss, why aren't more people happy?"
He should run as a
He should run as a Democrat.
Why? Because only Democrats can value competence?
BTW, Nine, what's with all
BTW, Nine, what's with all this GOP party loyalty? You not calling yourself a Libertarian anymore?
Tim Burchett did the impossible
He unified the Knox County Republican Party.
Problem is, they want his head over the Mackay deal.
yeah, just like they wanted
yeah, just like they wanted Scoobie for Clerk and Tramel for County Commission. You're a fringe person, 9.
“good ole girl?”
“fringe person?”
What does that make you, a “White Lace and Promises” in-the-know person, or just a “good ole girl?”
Lee Tramel was a good County Commissioner, and would not be stamping the count Mayor's proposed budgets that put us deeper in debt.
What does that make you, a
Tramel had all kinds of money, name recognition, the advantage of running as an incumbent and the support of Hutchison and the big developers for whom he'd done lots of favors in a very short time. He ended up with 17.79% of the vote. His constituents rendered the verdict, not me.
So, in answer to your question, it makes me a person who can read election returns. Can you?
