The KCS homepage also mentions today's early dismissal, but neither the robocall nor the homepage mentions whether Dr. McIntyre will still deliver his State of the Schools address tonight at Powell High.
Please post if you should learn and/or I'll do the same.

Not on my end.
However, the story on the News-Sentinel homepage says the "winter weather advisory" runs 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., I think it was.
Says rain is to quickly turn to snow?
They're predicting 1 - 4 inches now, not the "up to one inch" we heard yesterday?
37 and raining here.
37 and raining here.
If it snows like it's been
If it snows like it's been raining, they're wise to call it early.
When it snows, it will probably come down fast and hard, in a sure panic inducing kind of way.
State of the Schools Address tonite at Powell

Will be rescheduled.

I got four cell calls from my son AND his third period classmates ("Hi, Miz Shepherd, This is Brittany. I just wanted to say "hey,"" followed by delirious giggles.), so I just went and picked him up.-mostly to relieve his teacher, who was clearly having some trouble keeping a lid on things.
There were a good fifty parents in the front office and my son said 1/4 of his class had already gone home.
Also, the mister called to report that oodles of his co-workers had ditched, too, whether or not they have kids?
Still just rain here...
State of Schools address
Thanks, John. Front office at Powell had advised me of same.
Just arrived back home about
Just arrived back home about ten minutes ago and there was snow hitting the windshield along with the rain as I climbed the driveway.

Heavy snow right now. Started with sleet/ice.
North Knoxville and Knox
North Knoxville and Knox County looks like a mess with some accumulation. Does anybody know just how bad it is up there?
West Knoxville-nothing on the ground or trees...but there may be ice with the rain.
