The Ironic Nature of the GOP

So, there I am watching TV and damn if the GOP something or other isn't running a commercial that has as a central point the criticism of blatently heterosexual behavior on the part of Junior.  I haven't seen all the commercials that they have made criticizing the somewhat oddly sexual behavior of a certain former congressman.  Must be on the other channels.

Still, pretty ironic, doncha think?

Was that the one where they said he was "cavorting around" with Playboy Playmates and then filmed a commercial in a church? The GOP is really reaching on that one...

Right now, Rep. Ray LaHood (R-IL) is on television suggesting the Congressional page program be eliminated because members of Congress can't be trusted around children. Without a drop of irony, LaHood fails to notice this is the erstwhile body that sets policy for our entire society.
