The media is reporting that, to avoid embarrassing the VIP (Village Idiot President) at a photo op presidential visit, DOE transferred five million dollars to reverse several layoffs at a renewable energy research lab engaged in the work he was touting. I guess they'll be re-layed off in a couple of months after the spotlight moves to a new project du jour. What a piece of work! Here’s CNN’s page.
UPDATE:
It just hit me. "TOPEKA!" as George of the Jungle (another mental giant) would say. I now know how he's gonna balance the budget. He adequately funds programs just before presidential visits, looks great, then jerks the money back as soon as the plane leaves. We could use the same cash to look good promoting all kinds of good stuff. Then we could fund more tax cuts for the rich. What a concept!
