Too funny. I found myself curious as to what he was saying this afternoon on his show so I tuned in. Usually on his game, he sounded more bumbling about all the breaking news this morning than Dubya.

Anyway, as my grandmother always said, "Live by the drug-addled radio putz, die by the drug-addled radio putz."

Now that I've had my schadenfreude snark fix, I'm compelled to note that Claire McCaskill, and not Mr. Oxycontin, deserves all the credit for the win in Missouri.

From the accounts I've read, she worked extremely hard to shore up St. Louis in the final week of the campaign. The Democratic Party needs more like her.

Here is what the All-Knowing, All-Sensing, All-Compassionate Maha Rushie actually said:

"I no longer am going to have to carry the water for people who I don't think deserve having their water carried. Now, you might say, "Well, why have you been doing it?" Because the stakes are high. Even though the Republican Party let us down, to me they represent a far better future for my beliefs and therefore the country's than the Democrat Party and liberalism does...
My thinking is: the left doesn't deserve to win. My thinking is: the country is imperiled with liberal victory. We may not have the best people on our side, but they're better than what we have on the left. But it has been difficult sometimes, when these people on our side have not had the guts to stand up for themselves, have not had the guts to explain what they really believe and why they're doing what they're doing. When they haven't had the courage to be who they are, when they haven't had the courage to be conservatives.

And that's what Rush meant...er, in context, that is.
