Link...(Brian Hornback, for those who like to be warned)
I haven't heard from anyone about references being called, and I'll add my name to the list. Why take references if you're not going to call them?
As an employer, I depend a lot more on references than what a job candidate tells me about themselves. A really good interviewer will ask for additional references in the interview that aren't part of the "hand picked" list (e.g., "who was your supervisor at XYZ?') and contact them.
If anyone wants to see my questionnaire, I'll post it on my blog (the major essay questions, I didn't scan the hardcopy) at reform4.blogspot.com.
Is the quote in the paper about "doing a better job next time" in reaction to no references being called? Or something else? Thoughts?

As a matter of fact, I
As a matter of fact, I confirmed in the post that references for Lee Tramel and Laurie Alford were not contacted. Cynthia Stancil submitted the form and was NEVER given an interview. In addition, I confirmed, Therea Cox and Evelyn Gill were not interviewed.
On now The Public Trust PAC or Good Government PAC will not release the questionaire's of the candidates. The PAC is NOT Public, Trustworworthy or Good. They are simply good ole' career politicians promoting Metro Government and the Downtown politicians.
The comment on doing a
The comment on doing a better job is in response to the exposure of Brian's Blog and The Hubert SMith Radio Show for the past week. Not just the Logan Brummitt exclusive interview that Brian's Blog has posted.
A representative of the PAC kept contacting Brian Hornback since last Sunday trying to get him to retract his first post about Stancil and Gill.
Brian's truthiness will not be threatened!
Brian Hornback will never apologize or retract anything. To do so would threaten his truthiness. This is about all he has. Peruse his blog and take a look at the job he's trying ot do on Karen Carson -- who defeated his school board re-election bid. This, of course has nothing to do with his hostility toward her and absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he never approves any of my comments to his blog that mentions that fact.
Take Care, Be Good and don't play in the street!

I have seen many comments on Brian's Blog that are signed Steve Mule. So now whose truthiness is in question?
Everyone go look at Brian's Blog and you will find comments signed Steve Mule. So, now we all know that Steve Mule doesn't have the truth in him.
Huh?
Huh? I never said that NONE of my comments were posted. It's just that the ones that mention Brian Hornback's defeat at the hands of Karen Carson are never approved. Brian has approved many of my comments and sometimes we even agree. BUT ... mention an inconvient fact, an uncomfortable truth and poof ... they disapear
Take Care, Be Good and don't play in the street!
SteveMule
Yep, that's why....
That's why I just link to Brian's more discussable posts on Knoxviews, to allow for some real discussion. :)
Truth will out.

How do we know that you are
How do we know that you are telling the truth, SteveMule? First you say that he never approves your comment..then when confronted with facts,,you backtrack..When are you telling the truth?
Duh
Hey, Anonymous -- has it occurred to you that it's stupid to attempt to twist what SteveMule said when what he actually said is posted above?
Prove It
You claim SteveMule is lying. He said that Brian doesn't approve posts related to Karen Carson's election win and Brian being upset at Karen about that. Can you link to such a post that exists on Brian's blog?
If not, shush. And it's not hard to create a username, whoever you are.
Uh, well, tere's this one ...
This was written in response to Brian's post concerning the bad weather the morning of Tuesday, Jan 22, 2008 @ 9:21 PM
Brian accueses a School Official of Derilication of Duty by not canceling an in-service day or something and ... well, read his post.

Brian,
Uh, doesn't this fall under that "personal responsibilty" thing? My place of employment was open and many of my co-workers came in late after the road ice had gone away. No one needed to tell them it was OK and indeed they would have told the company where to drive (so to speak) if the company had told them otherwise. I have only a few blocks to travel to get to work and I almost turned around - it was my decision not to and I suspect it was their decision as well. No one's fault but theirs.
"The word around the courthouse is ..." in polite company, without proof, isn't this called 'gossip' and doesn't that fall under that Deuteronmy 5:20 thing? Just wondering.
SteveMule
Just so everyone knows I often, tho not always, keep a copy of the comment I'm attempting to get posted just for situations like this.

A review of the comment
A review of the comment moderation page reveal that this work was fiction by Steve Mule was never posted or attempted to be posted to Brian's Blog.
If your comments weren't moderated...
.. we'd know for sure. Otherwise, we can only guess.
That's the beauty of an unmoderated blog. Nobody can hide from the truth.
But to each his own, it's your blog after all. I've just found that the more free the discussion, the more readers, the more traffic, etc. Knoxview articles have probably 10-50 responses each, and yours average- what? 0.05? Where's the interest in that?
I find it interesting that in Ed Shouse's Campaign Finance
Report that he listed a donation from Sherry Lee, a member of the PAC, in the amount of $500 on 07/28/07. But they did not publicly disclose that contribution prior to his interview and/or endorsement.
Some one from
Brian Blog is having a reading and understanding what is really said and not just his take on the problem again? Thanks SteveMule for letting us know why all the hostile towards Karen.
Huh?
Looks like the grammar bug bit Sam. That's what happens when you get to close to the Truth Squat.
